Frequently asked questions
01
How much does an extension cost to do currently?
This is very hard for us to price without sitting down with you and discussing your requirements. There are many factors to be considered. single storey or double. Flat roof or pitched. Are you having a bathroom. the quickest and easiest way to be able to give you a quote in to arrange a meeting and go through your plans
03
Building control
You will need building control to monitor our work to ensure at the end of the job they are happy with the quality of work and you will receive a building certificate. Once the application and fees have been paid we liaise with them to arrange inspections when required.
02
How long does the extension take to finish
Again this will depend on if it's single or double storey and what fixtures you are having. for a single storey you should allow about 12 weeks approximately and for a double storey allow around 20 weeks. obviously this will depend on the final size but we always produce a build plan when we start a job.
04
How much input do you need from me.
This will depend on how much detail is provided at tender stage. through the build, you may find you want to modify the design or change some of the fixtures. its always cheaper to have everything confirmed before the builder starts as if thinks need to be changed once done, the cost of changing will be added to the contract.
